DESIGN PROCESS

“WHERE DO I BEGIN?” This is one of the most common questions homeowners ask themselves once they’ve decided to tackle a remodeling project. It can be quite overwhelming to figure out a starting point with all the variables to consider, such as finding a certified designer you can trust to hiring a reliable contractor to bring the design to life. Perhaps Denori Design is the answer to your question – we are here to help you find the start to your remodeling project.

DESIGN CONSULTATION:

A designer will meet with you for a design consultation to discuss the services and products offered by Denori Design. During this meeting, they will complete a design survey with you to gain better insight into the scope of work for your project and measure your existing space. The designer will use all this information to create preliminary floors plans for the next meeting.

PRELIMINARY DESIGN:

The designer will present the preliminary floor plan solutions for your project and review the design benefits of each layout. You may decide on one of them or perhaps a combination of the plans with the goal of creating one preferred plan.

DESIGN RETAINER AGREEMENT:

A Design Retainer Agreement with a Design Fee will be required to move forward in the Design Process. The Design Fee is required due to the commitment hours invested by the designer during the Design Development phase.

ELEVATION DRAWING

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT:

The designer will present your preferred floor plan and its corresponding elevations for review and revision. The drawings will include greater detail than the preliminary plans, such as dimensions, cabinetry sizes, cabinet accessories, appliance sizes, and decorative elements.

You and the designer will discuss the overall aesthetic feel for your design, which includes exploring options for cabinetry, countertops, appliances, plumbing fixtures, tile design as well as color and finish selections.

Preliminary pricing will be completed for the next meeting based on the criteria established during the design development meetings.

FINAL DESIGN DECISIONS:

The designer will present the preliminary pricing and drawing revisions to you. Final decisions are made and will be reflected in the final pricing and drawings for the next meeting.

DESIGN SERVICE AGREEMENT:

Final pricing and drawings are presented to you and once the design is agreed upon, the next step is signing the Design Service and Purchase Agreement contract. Final drawings will be released to the client after a contract, which includes the purchase of cabinets, is signed.
